Men's Basketball Falls Short in Overtime to SUNY Broome

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Finger Lakes men's basketball team dropped a road conference matchup to the SUNY Broome Hornets, 81-80, in overtime. Despite holding a two-point advantage in the final frame the Hornets would come away with the win, burying a three in the final seconds to seal the finish.

Ian Florence (Rochester, N.Y./McQuaid) led the way with 15 points, knocking down 3 three-pointers and adding 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals. Joe Caito (Canandaigua, N.Y./Canandaigua Academy) scored 12 points and grabbed 6 rebounds, while George Spinelli (Canandaigua, N.Y./Canandaigua Academy) chipped in 11 points and a team-high 6 assists. Kellen Foster (Newark, N.Y./Newark) provided a spark off the bench with 10 points and 5 rebounds.

The Lakers will look to bounce back in a road trip to North Country Community College tomorrow Saturday, January 17th at 3 PM.
