POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – #4 Finger Lakes women's volleyball extended its win streak to four matches Saturday with a pair of victories at Dutchess Community College. The Lakers opened the day with a 3–1 win over Monroe College-Bronx (25-16, 20-25, 25-21, 25-21) before sweeping the host Falcons in straight sets (25-20, 25-22, 25-16). The results push the Lakers to 5–2 overall.
Against Monroe Bronx, the Lakers controlled the first set before dropping the second, but they steadied in the final two frames to secure the match. Anna Kurtzhalts (Grand Island, N.Y./Grand Island) led all attackers with 15 kills on 33 swings. Olivia Scheuer (Constantia, N.Y./Paul V. Moore) was a difference-maker both setting and attacking, finishing with 30 assists and 7 kills while hitting .385. Allyson St. Germain (Cincinnatus, N.Y./Cincinnatus) added 7 kills and 8 digs, while Aubrie Tomlinson (Buffalo, N.Y./Frontier) anchored the defense with 7 digs and chipped in 3 aces.
In the second match against Dutchess, Finger Lakes used balanced scoring to close out the day with a sweep. St. Germain posted 8 kills on a .273 hitting percentage, and Scheuer was efficient with 6 kills on .750 hitting to go along with 14 assists. Natalie Dunham (Geneva, N.Y./Geneva) and Kayce Hennekey (Rochester, N.Y./West Irondequoit) each contributed 2 kills, while Alexa Ocampo (Elba, N.Y./Elba) added 4. Tomlinson again steadied the back row with 5 digs and 2 service aces.
The wins stretched Finger Lakes' streak to four, building on the momentum from Tuesday's home opener against Onondaga.
