Logging Starts the Season Strong at the Spring Derby

Canandaigua, N.Y. - The FLCC Logging team kicked off their season in impressive fashion as they hosted their home Spring Derby this past weekend. Competing against four-year programs, the Lakers proved they could more than hold their own despite being the only two-year school in the field.

The women's team led the way with a strong performance, earning a second-place finish against tough competition. On the men's side, the Lakers battled throughout the day and secured a third-place finish, showcasing depth and determination across events. The open division team also turned in a solid showing, finishing second overall and contributing to a successful day for the program.

Throughout the meet, FLCC athletes demonstrated grit, skill, and resilience while competing against larger programs. Hosting the event added an extra layer of excitement, and the Lakers rose to the occasion in front of a home crowd.

The Lakers will next head to SUNY Cobleskill on Saturday the 18th.
