Women's Basketball Drops A Home Contest VS Genesee

Canandaigua, N.Y. - Finger Lakes Women's Basketball fell behind early and was unable to recover, dropping a 73–51 decision.

Continuing her dominant freshman campaign, Ava Read (Canandaigua, N.Y./Canandaigua Academy) led the Lakers with 27 points and 10 rebounds, recording her second consecutive double-double.  Fellow freshman Karah Hill (West Seneca, N.Y.) also finished in double figures, scoring 18 points on six made three-pointers.  Rounding out the scorers for the lakers was Kierra Shaughnessy (Canastota, N.Y./Canastota) who finished the game with 6 points. 

The Lakers are back at home this Saturday when they take on Herkimer at 3PM.
