Lakers Drop Twin Bill at Middlesex College, Move to 2-2

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y.The Finger Lakes Community College softball team dropped both games of a doubleheader to Middlesex College on Friday, March 22nd. 
 
The Lakers fell 9-5 in the first game. Lauren Pilon (Kendall, N.Y./Kendall) finished with a team-high four RBIs, including two doubles, while Anna Kurtzhalts (Grand Island, N.Y./Grand Island) drove in two runs on four at-bats. Madison Anderson (Ashville, N.Y./Chautauqua Lake) took the mound and put forth a solid effort as she delivered seven strikeouts over six innings.
 
The Lakers dropped the second game, 9-1. Devon Dean (Phelps, N.Y./Midlakes) stepped up to the plate twice and drove in the sole run, while Anna Kurtzhalts used her quickness to an advantage with a stolen base. Cameron Crawford (Ontario, N.Y./.Wayne Central) put up a solid performance on the mound as she dealt two strikeouts over four innings.
 
The Lakers are home for their next matchup, which is a doubleheader with Corning Community College that will take place on Thursday, March 27th at 3:00 and 5:30 PM.
