Men's Cross Country Places 14th

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Finger Lakes Community College's men's cross country team placed 14th at the annual Harry F. Anderson Invitational, held Saturday at Roberts Wesleyan College. The competition in the men's 8K race was tough, with FLCC competing against schools from NJCAA Division III all the way up to NCAA Division I institutions. 

Sophomore Giovanni Ventura (Geneva, N.Y./Geneva) finished 99th in the event, the best finish for the men's cross country team. Ventura finished the 8k course in a time of 28 minutes and 43.9 seconds. Freshman Kyle Green had the second-best time for the Lakers, finishing in 147th place (31:22.5). Classmate JT Zimmerman was next up for FLCC with a time of 32:16.8, followed by classmate Jacob DiGiovanni (33:23.5), freshman Garret Lagenor (33:36.5), and classmate Jake Williams (33:49.8).

The Lakers return to action next Saturday, Oct. 2nd when they travel to Cazenovia College to compete in the 8K Cazenovia College Homecoming Invitational, starting at noon.
