UTICA, N.Y. - Herkimer set the tone early, jumping out to a 9-0 lead in the first quarter and continuing to build momentum throughout the game. The Generals' offense proved difficult to slow down as they consistently found the back of the net, leading 20-0 at halftime.
The Lakers showed resilience in the third quarter, getting on the board at the 13:35 mark when Philip Love (Clifton Springs, N.Y./Midlakes) scored off an assist from Matthew Brown, breaking the shutout. However, Herkimer continued to press offensively, adding 8 more goals in the second half to secure the victory.
