The Plaque Reads: The 1992 Laker baseball team accomplished many firsts in the history of Finger Lakes Community (FLCC) College Athletics. The were the first team in FLCC history to win a National Junior College Athletic Region III Championship. The Lakers were the number four seed going to the 1992 Region III Championship and through a combination of power, speed and aggressive play which they came to be known for, they beat the odds and won the championship and the right to compete in the first NJCAA Division III World Series. The "Bomb Squad" as they came to be called by their fans finished 4th in the country.

The Lakers were also the first baseball team in FLCC history to win over 20 games in a season, they were the first to produce Two All-American. The team also set 11 team records and 7 individual records. All of these records were accomplished with class, dignity, honor and integrity.
