Lakers Secure Road Win, Improve to 6-4 in Conference Play

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. – The Lakers delivered a balanced performance to pick up an important conference road win in the latter portion of the season. Dalayla Alexander (Ellicottville, N.Y./Ellicottville) paced the offense with a game-high 25 points, hitting 2 three-pointers and going 7-for-9 from the free-throw line, while also adding 4 rebounds and 4 assists.

Jazzmyn Lewis (Waterloo, N.Y./Waterloo) continued to be a game-changer on both ends, finishing with 23 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, and 9 steals, providing the spark that helped the Lakers control the tempo. Kierra Shaughnessy (Canastota, N.Y./Canastota) added 9 points and 5 rebounds, while Ella Robinson (Hallstead, PA./Blue Ridge) secured 7 rebounds and knocked down a pair of threes.

The Lakers' defense was key, forcing 17 steals that led to additional scoring opportunities. The Lakers also held their own on the glass, grabbing 30 total rebounds, and took advantage of their opportunities at the free-throw line, shooting 66%.

Finger Lakes (9-10, 6-4) will hit the road for their next matchup this Saturday, February 8th at 12 PM against Corning Community College.
