CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. - Finger Lakes Community College Men's Soccer picked up a win over non-regional opponent Nazareth College. The Lakers picked up a dominant win, completing a 5-1 victory to improve the Lakers record to 9-4 on the season.
Freshman Evan Stevely (Rochester, N.Y./ Bishop Kearney) picked up the first goal for the Lakers, assisted by teammate Russell Domm (East Rochester, N.Y./ East Rochester). Stevely returned the favor, feeding Russell Domm for his first goal of the game in the 22'. Five minutes later, Freshman Chuck Domm (East Rochester, N.Y./ East Rochester) extended the Lakers lead to 3-0 in the 27'.
The Lakers went into the break with a dominate 3-0 victory, supported by the Lakers defense and Freshman goalie Mike Rasciatore (East Rochester, N.Y./ East Rochester).
The Lakers extended their lead to 4-0 in the 71' when Russell Domm picked up his 2nd assist of the game on a pass to Stevely for his 2nd goal of the game. The Golden Flyers picked up their lone goal of the game in the 74' to avoid the shutout. Russell Domm added his second goal of the in the 82' to round out the scoring for the Lakers. Goalie Mike Rasciatore made 6 saves to help secure the win for the Lakers on the night.
The Lakers return to play when they travel to Herkimer College on Tuesday, Oct. 12th for a 7 P.M. match. The Lakers return home Saturday, Oct. 16th for their final home game of the regular season when Fulton-Montgomery Community College comes to campus.
