Lakers Drop Season Series With SUNY Jefferson on the Road

WATERTOWN, N.Y. - The Finger Lakes Community College women's basketball team struggled to find their rhythm on the road, falling to SUNY Jefferson 73-33 on Saturday.

Jazzmyn Lewis (Waterloo, N.Y./Waterloo) anchored the defense with a strong all-around effort, finishing with 7 points, 10 rebounds, 13 steals, and four assists. Kierra Shaughnessy (Canastota, N.Y./Canastota) added 8 points and 5 rebounds, while Dalayla Alexander (Ellicottville, N.Y./Ellicottville) chipped in 6 points with a pair of three-pointers. Jade Roussell (Dundee, N.Y./Dundee) contributed 6 points and 4 rebounds, and Eliana Mason (Frederick, MD./New Life Christian) provided a spark off the bench with 6 points and 2 steals.

Despite a solid effort on the boards, where Ella Robinson (Halstead, PA./Blue Ridge) led the team with 11 rebounds, the Lakers couldn't overcome their shooting struggles, hitting just 20% from the field and 16% from three-point range.
