WATERTOWN, NY -- The Finger Lakes Community College Women's Soccer team lost to Jefferson Community College on Wednesday by the score of 3-1. With the loss, the Lakers' record falls to 4-5-1 on the season and 1-3 in conference play.
Brittany Maggio's 11th goal of the season in the 21st minute staked the Lakers to a 1-0 lead. Rachel Graves assisted on the goal. The Cannoneers would tie the game back up just three minutes later and take the lead in the 39th minute. At the half, Jefferson led 2-1. Jefferson would add an insurance goal in the 54th minute on their way to the 3-1 victory.
Daniele Ogrodowski recorded 8 saves in the loss, moving her into second place all-time in Finger Lakes history for saves in a career.
The Lakers will face the Red Barons of Corning Community College this Saturday. Kickoff from Corning, NY is set for 12pm.
