Logging Sports Jack and Jill Team Champions of NE Woodsmen Spring Championship

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. - The Finger Lakes Community College Logging Sports Jack and Jill team won first place at the 73rd NE Woodsmen Spring Championship this past weekend.

They fielded two teams; a Men’s Team and a Jack and Jill Team (comprised of three men and three women).

In total, there were 36 teams representing many colleges and universities. FLCC was the only exclusive community college competing in the NE Collegiate Division.

"I can't exclaim how good it feels to win a championship alongside four-year institutions such as Dartmouth College, University of New Hampshire, University of Vermont, University of Maine, SUNY Environmental Science and Forestry, Alfred State University, SUNY Cobleskill, Paul Smiths College, SUNY Morrisville, Unity College, Colby College, UCONN, Penn State University, and West Virginia," says Coach, Ryan Staychock.

The Men's team finished in the top 50% of the division, at ninth place.
