Lakers Win Seven In A Row

WATERTOWN, N.Y. – The Finger Lakes Community College Women's Basketball team won their seventh game in a row and sixth conference game in a row against the Jefferson Community College Cannoneers on Sunday. The Lakers won 64-48.

The Lakers kept their lead throughout the entire game. They ended the first quarter leading 23-9, really getting the game going quick. They stopped scoring as many points, but continued to keep outscoring the Cannoneers each quarter. Their big lead in the beginning gave them what they needed to take the win.

The Lakers shot better in the field and in three pointers than the Cannoneers. They shot 41.1% in the field and 29.4% in threes.

Game leaders for the Lakers were Ranaveya Richards with 30 points, 12 rebounds, and nine assists, and Sarah Lacey with 18 points, and 18 rebounds.

The Lakers will play next at home on Wednesday, January 31st against the SUNY Broome Community College Hornets. They will play at 5:30pm.
