Women Win On The Road

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Finger Lakes Community College Women's Basketball team took down the Onondaga Community College Lazers on Wednesday 81-70.

This is the fifth conference game in a row the Lakers have won.

The Lakers did not get a very good start. They ended the first quarter down by three with a score of 12-9. It wasn't until the second quarter that they started to gain the lead. They managed to outscore the Lazers in the second and third quarters. The fourth quarter was a battle and the Lazers scored more points but they Lakers had enough of a lead that they still won.

The Lakers had better shooting percentages both in the field and for three pointers. They scored 47% in the field and 33.3% in threes.

Game leaders for the Lakers were Ranaveya Richards with 29 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists, and Sarah Lacey with 17 points, and 22 rebounds.
