Women's Basketball Brings Home The Win From Schenectady County

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The Finger Lakes Community College Women's Basketball team won a close game against the Schenectady County Community College Royals on Sunday. The Lakers won 59-53.

The Lakers started the game off with a big 22-12 lead to end the first half. They kept their lead all game. It wasn't until the fourth quarter when the Royals found a spark and started to really score. The Royals outscored the Lakers 21-11 in the fourth quarter. They were not successful enough and the Lakers took the win.

The Lakers shot 46.4% in the field and only shot 20% in three pointers.

Game leaders for the Lakers were Sarah Lacey with 22 points, 12 rebounds, and two blocks, and Ranaveya Richards with 11 points and 11 assists.
