Women's Basketball Gains First Win Post-Break

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. – The Finger Lakes Community College Women's Basketball team gained their first win after break against the Genesee Community College Cougars this past Monday. The Lakers won 62-58.

The Lakers started off the game with a big lead, ending the first quarter 17-6. It didn't take long for the Cougars to catch up and outscored the Lakers at the end of the half, 21-11. It became a close game with both working hard for the lead. In the end, the Lakers ended the game victorious.

Shooting percentage was close with the Lakers shooting only .5% better than the Cougars with 33.8%. The Cougars however dominated in three pointers with 33.3% while the Lakers only shot 5.6%.

Game leaders for the Lakers were Sarah Lacey with 25 points, and 11 rebounds, and Ranaveya Richards with 23 points, and six assists.
