Lakers Lose Tough One To Mohawk Valley

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. – The Finger Lakes Community College Women's Basketball team fell to the Mohawk Valley Hawks this past Saturday. The Lakers lost 75-59.

It was a rocky start for the Lakers on Saturday. The first quarter was a tough one. The Hawks outscored the Lakers 25-7. The Lakers were not making many of the shots they were putting up.

The second quarter was a much better one for the Lakers. They outscored the Hawks 17-12. They were making more shots and made more of their opportunities.

In the third quarter, the Lakers outscored the Hawks again, this time 22-16. They were making a big comeback. The Hawks started fouling more and the Lakers made 8 out of the 10 free throws they had.

In the final quarter of the game, the Hawks outscored the Lakers finishing in a score of 75-59.

The Lakers shot 31.1% in the field and 40% for threes. They also had 41 total rebounds.

Game Leaders for the Lakers were Ranaveya Richards with 23 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, and Sarah Lacey with 15 points, and eight rebounds.
