Lady Lakers Fall to Lazers at Home

Canandaigua, NY -- The Finger Lakes Community College women's basketball team fell to the Lazers from Onondaga Community College on Wednesday, January 25.  With the 77-72 loss, the Lakers drop to 4-2 in the MSAC and 14-5 overall.

The Lazers took control of the game early, outscoring the Lakers 10-2 in the first three minutes of Wednesday's contest.  The Lakers would rebound to end the first down 22-18. The Lady Lakers proceeded to outscore the Lazers in the next two quarters, 17-12 and 28-18, to go ahead 63-52 leading in the the final quarter.   However, the Lazers would get hot late, outscoring the Lakers 25-9, claiming a 77-72 victory over the Lakers.

Krystal Hunter led the lakers with 31 points and eight rebounds in Wednesday's contest.  Ranaveya Richard finished with 13 points, five rebounds, and seven assists.  Janae Brannon had five points, eight rebounds, and three assists.

The Lady Lakers will return to the court on Saturday, January 28 when they host the Panthers from Tompkins Cortland community College in a Mid-State Athletic Conference matchup.  Tipoff is set for 3pm on Putt Moore Court.
