Lakers Fall at Broome, 69-59

BINGHAMTON, NY -- A late rally by the Lakers fell short as Finger Lakes lost to SUNY Broome Community College 69-59 in Women's Basketball. Finger Lakes falls to 1-7 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference and 4-16 overall on the season.

Alex Shepard led the Lakers with 28 points. She was joined in double figures by Daniele Ogrodowski. The sophomore had 10 points and seven rebounds. Also with seven rebounds, tying for a team-high, was Monica Brennan. She also added eight points for Finger Lakes.

The Lakers will remain on the road this Saturday as they face Jefferson Community College. The matchup with the Cannoneers is set to start at 1pm in Watertown, NY.
