McCauley Scores 35 In Losing Effort At Broome

BINGHAMTON, NY. – The Finger Lakes Community College Lady Lakers (8-7) fell to Broome Community College on the road last night in overtime, 74-64.

Despite the loss, the Lady Lakers received a game-high 35-point night out of freshman shooting guard Kelli McCauley (Irondequoit). 24 of McCauley's points came from beyond the arc (she accounted for 8 three-point field goals on the night). Freshman shooting guard Cassandra Strait (Dundee) continued her successful freshman campaign by contributing 20 points and pulling down 9 rebounds for FLCC. A pair of freshman forwards, Ashley House (Hammondsport) and Jordan Smith (Lyons), controlled the glass for the Lady Lakers, grabbing 10 rebounds each in the losing effort.

FLCC will be back on the road tomorrow (1/14) for an away matchup against Jefferson Community College. Game time is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
