WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. – The Finger Lakes Community College Softball team fell in their first game back from their spring trip to the Erie Community College Kats on Tuesday. They lost 8-0 in five innings in the first game, and 8-0 in five innings in the second game.
The Kats started off the game scoring five runs in the first inning. The Lakers managed to hold them in the second inning, then let in three more in the third inning. They finally held them throughout the rest of the game, but could not get a run across the plate.
Game leaders for the Lakers were Jenna Theilen with two hits, and Longo with one.
The Kats started this game off scoring in the first inning again. This time, they were held to three runs in the first. The Lakers held them again the second inning, but they scored three more in the third. The Kats scored their final two runs in the fifth inning.
Shaniah Jones started on the mound for the Lakers, she only allowed four hits, and had one strikeout.
The Lakers will play next on Sunday, April 7th against the Onondaga Community College Lazers. They will travel there and play at 1:00 and 3:00pm.
