The Canandaigua Youth Softball Team Visits for Double-Header Match-Up

Canandaigua, NY—The Canandaigua Youth Softball Team visited the Finger Lakers Community College women's softball team on Sunday, April 23 during their double-header vs Onondaga Community College. The Lakers fell to the Lazers in the first game 6-2 and the second 13-5.

Jenna Theilen and Jessica Williams finished 1-for-3 with one run each for the Lakers in game one. Third baseman Peyton Wyjad went 1-for-3 with one run batted in, while Maddison Joseph went 2-for-4, adding one RBI. Jessica Williams struck out four of the 36 batters she faced in seven innings from the mound.

The Lakers would go down 13-5 in the second game against the Lazers. Michaela Anderson went 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI. Peyton Wyjad finished 2-for-3 with two RBI's and a triple. Jenna Theilen went 1-for-3 with two runs for the Lakers. Jessica Williams pitched four innings for the Lakers, striking out two batters out of the 32 she faced.

Next up, the Lakers will host a double-header against Tompkins Cortland Community College Panthers on Tuesday, April 25 at 3:00pm.
