The Lady Lakers Suffer Two Losses Against Cayuga

The Finger Lakes Community College women's softball team traveled to Cayuga Community College on Saturday April 15 to face the Spartans in a double-headed match up. The Lady Lakers fell 20-1 in the first match and 17-2 in the second.

Michaela Anderson and Madison Joseph went 2-for-2 with one double apiece in game one. Jenna Theilen went 1-for-3 from the plate, while Peyton Wyjad finished 1-for-2 with one RBI. Anna Dickens pitched two innings allowing six hits and three earned runs. Jessica Williams pitched one inning striking out two batters, and allowing three earned runs.

During the second game Michaela Anderson went 1-for-2 with one run, one RBI, and a double. Jessica Williams went 1-for-3, scoring the second run for the Lakers. Third baseman Peyton Wyjad went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Jessica Williams pitched four innings allowing six earned runs and striking out one batter. Anna Dickens would close the game with one strikeout and one earned run.

Next up, the Lakers will travel to Corning Community College to battle the Red Barons in an MSAC double-header contest on Tuesday, April 18.
