Men and Women’s Track and Field Start Their Season
On March 17th, the Men and Women's track team attended their first meet of the 2018 season at the University of Mary Washington in Virginia.  Both teams had several competitive moments against the larger NCAA division II and III schools, and look to continue their progress as the season unfolds.  
 
From the women's team, Audrie Prusinowski , and Caitlin Pawlaczyk, both had stand out performances.  Audrie Prusinowski​ from Marcus Whitman, finished third in the 3000 Steeplechase with a time of 14:35.06.  This time has already qualified her for the 2018 NJCAA  Track and Field Nationals to be held in May.  While Caitlin Pawlaczyk from Mount Morris,  finished 8th in the high jump just an inch away from the National qualifying standard.  
From the Men's team Conor Harrigan, and Tim Kennerson both had great days.  Conor Harrigan, from Syracuse, recorded a personal best and a third place finish in the javelin throw recording a 41.99 meters throw.  This mark has him less than 1 meeter away from the national qualifying standard.  While Tim Kennerson  had two top 5 finishes in both the 110m Hurdles and 400m Hurdles.  
 
On Saturday, March 31st, both teams will be competing at SUNY Geneseo.  Events start at 10AM please come out to cheer them on!
