CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. – The Finger Lakes Community College Men’s Soccer team attained their second win in in a row this past Saturday against the St. John Fisher JV team. The Lakers are in a two-win winning streak improving their record to 2-2 this season.
The Lakers were off to a strong start after their first win of the season this past Thursday against Hudson Valley Community College. The Lakers were on offense for much of the first half. FLCC was taking great shots, showing they were ready to play. The Lakers ended up outshooting the Cardinals 18-8. The only goal of the game was scored by FLCC's Noah Murray. Murray outran the Cardinal’s goalie, and tapped the ball in the back of the net unassisted. This was Murray’s first goal of the season.
Game Leaders for the Lakers were Murray with one goal, and goal keeper Brayden Kane who recorded 4 saves.
The Lakers travel next, to Erie Community College Wednesday, September 6, at 5:00 PM where they look to improve to a winning record.
