CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. – The Finger Lakes Community College Lacrosse team lost a tough one against the Suffolk Community College Sharks on Saturday. They lost 22-2.
The Lakers started out the game playing well, only allowing two goals in the first quarter. Brendan Cain scored the first goal of the game, assisted by Brandon Cullen. Jake Satterley scored the second of the game, and final of the quarter, assisted by Cain.
The Lakers had a rough second quarter, allowing 10 goals. Satterley scored a man-up goal to start off the quarter, assisted by Tm Yannucci. Then Yannucci scored one, Satterley scored three more, and Willie Petro, Jack Brierley, Adante Simpson, Cain, and Johnny Nolan all scored one to end the first half.
The Lakers held the Sharks to seven more goals in the third quarter. Satterley had two goals, Yannucci had two, Petro had two, and Hunter Bauland scored one.
It wasn't until the fourth quarter that the Lakers scored their goals. With eight minutes and thirteen seconds left in the game, Josh Zugnoni scored the Laker's first goal of the game, and on man-up. The finally, with six seconds left in the game, Zugnoni scored again. That wrapped up the game.
Zugnoni went 10 for 25 in face-offs, and Joe DiSalvo went one for two.
