The Finger Lakes Community College lacrosse team fell to the Riverhawks from Anna Arundel Community College on Monday, March 20. The 17-3 loss drops the Lakers to 1-2 on the season.
The Lakers began Monday's contest very slow as they were held scoreless for the entire first quarter while the Riverhawks tallied four goals. Tate Stewart scored the Lakers first goal off a man-up opportunity at the start of the second quarter. Stewart was assisted by Austin Andryshak.
The Lakers were held without another score until late in the third quarter, when Josh Zugnoni scored off an Alex Chiara assist. The Final Lakers goal came from Tate Stewart at the beginning of the final quarter. He was assisted by Alex Chiara. The Riverhawks would go on to win by a final score of 17-3.
Ethan Lincoln played all 60 minutes in goal for the Lakers. He finished with eight saves.
The Lakers home game against Herkimer College this Wednesday has been postponed due to weather conditions. Their next game will be played against Broome Community College on Sunday, April 2. The contest is scheduled to begin at 1pm.
