Men's Lacrosse Falls to Harford Community College

The Finger Lakes Community College men's lacrosse team fell to the Fighting Owls from Harford Community College on Sunday, March 19 by a score of 27-5. With the loss, the Lakers drop to 1-1 on the season.

The Lakers got on the board first in Sunday's contest off a shot from sophomore Austin Andryshak.  However, that would be the only Lakers score in the first quarter.  Harford would go on to score five unanswered by the end of the first.

Finger Lakes scored their second goal of the contest early in the second quarter off of sophomore midfielder Ethan Bakogiannis.  He was unassisted.  They would again be held scoreless for the remainder of the quarter, going into halftime down 11-2 against the Fighting Owls.

Zakk Mount would score the third goal for the Lakers with 3:13 remaining in the third quarter.  He was assisted by Alex Chiara.  The Lakers would get their final two goals of the contest back-to-back in the final quarter.  Both goals came off the stick of freshman attack Tate Stewart. He was assisted by Bakogiannis and Andryshak.  The final horn would sound with a 27-5 Harford victory. Ethan Lincoln would play all 60 minutes between the pipes for the Lakers.  He finished with 12 saves.

The Lakers will continue on the road today, March 20 when they battle the Riverhawks from Anne Arundel Community College at 1pm.  Following today's contest the Lakers will host the Generals from Herkimer Community College on Wednesday, March 22 at 4pm.
