
DRYDEN, NY -- The Finger Lakes Lacrosse team won their fifth straight game, defeating Tompkins Cortland Community College by the score of 15-4 on Sunday.
The Lakers improve to 5-1 on the season. They also are 1-1 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference and 3-1 in Region III. Tompkins Cortland falls to 3-4 on the season. The Panthers have a 1-1 record in conference play and are 2-2 in Region III. Finger Lakes will next face CCBC-Catonsville next Friday, April 3 at home. Faceoff with the Cardinals is set for 4pm from Canandaigua.
Taylor Spike led Finger Lakes with five goals and one assists. Matthew Hall scored a hat trick and had four assists on the day. Also with four assists was Matt Youngs. Youngs also added a pair of goals in the game. Corey Grace had a four point day for the Lakers with a goal and three assists. Also scoring for Finger Lakes was Nick Andrews, Allan Smith, Alex Stull and Austin Laine. Matt Spoor made five saves in net to earn with win.
