Fisher Tops Finger Lakes

PITTSFORD, NY -- The Finger Lakes Men's Lacrosse team fell to the JV team from St. John Fisher College 14-10 on Friday night. The Lakers are now 1-4 on the season.

Matt Scharr led the Laker offense totalling seven points, six of which came as assists. Matt Miller continues to lead the Lakers in scoring adding three more goals on Friday. Nate Nichols also had a hat trick for Finger Lakes. Rounding out the goal scoring for Finger Lakes was Brandon Grace, Joshua Spence, and Matt Youngs, each scoring a goal apiece. Jake Sahrle made eight saves in net for Finger Lakers and Tucker Jensen added seven.

The Lakers will return to action this Wednesday as they open Mid-State Athletic Conference play against Cayuga Community College. The game with the Spartans will be played at Corcoran High School in Syracuse and scheduled to start at 6pm.
