As a key piece in the Lakers offense his freshman year: Thompson, who was a midfielder, produced a season that consisted of 10 goals and 17 assists. His 27 points came in a span of 16 games. His greatest game from a scoring standpoint in 2012 came on 3/14 in a Lakers home game against Genesee CC. In that contest, he racked up a pair of goals and in addition handed out 4 assists. His greatest goal total of his first season with Finger Lakes came against Jefferson CC on 3/17. In that meeting, which was also held at the home of the Lakers, Thompson recorded his first-ever 3-goal game at the collegiate level. His 10 goals were scored in 7 different games while his 17 assists were dished out over a span of 9 games. He was one of seven different Lakers who registered double digits in the goal-scoring column last season. His 17 assists were the third most doled out on the team in 2012. The now sophomore will look to add to his fine first season in a Lakers uniform in his sophomore year in 2013.
