As one of the nation’s top tenders in 2012: Perrucci turned in a solid freshman season for the Lakers. In between the crossbars, he accrued 334 saves in 21 games played, which was third best in the nation. Starting in each of Finger Lakes 21 contests last spring, Perrucci notched 9 victories in his first year with the team. The 5’11” native of Myrtle Beach, SC, recorded double-digit save efforts in 19 games a year ago. His goals against average of 11.9 ranked him 27th in the nation. His greatest save total in a game in 2012 came at Alfred State College on 4/11. In that game, which resulted in a 12-11 Lakers win, Perrucci came up with 30 stops. The fewest goals he allowed in a single game last season was 2 – which came on 4/9 in a 6-2 Finger Lakes road win over Mohawk Valley CC. Perrucci showed a great deal of upside in his first season in a Lakers uniform. He proved to be a valuable find as he kept Finger Lakes in a majority of its games. His speed, tenacity, and athleticism are some of his greatest assets. With a successful year under his wing now at the NJCAA level, don’t be surprised if you see this sophomore’s name in the highlights column on a regular basis in 2013.
