CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. – The Finger Lakes Community College Men's Basketball team won their third game in a row on Wednesday against the SUNY Broome Community College Hornets. The Lakers won 99-71.
The Lakers started off behind at the beginning of the game, but quickly fought their way back into it. They ended up getting the lead and ending the first half up 38-28. The second half started with a quick layup made by Trayvon Holt just seconds in. The aggressive offense kept them ahead. They managed to keep a big lead to finish off the game.
The Lakers shot very well against the Hornets. They ended the game shooting 60.9% in the field as opposed to the Hornets' 29%. They also shot 40% in three pointers, while the Hornets shot 28.6%.
Game leaders for the Lakers were Nyquan McCombs with 21 points, and seven assists, while Holt scored 16 points and had 10 rebounds.
The Lakers will play next on Saturday, February 3rd at home. They will play the Jefferson Community College Cannoneers at 3:00pm.
