Lakers Go 1-1 On The Week

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. – The Finger Lakes Community College Men's Basketball team could not make it a winning week after their loss to the Cayuga Community College Spartans. The Lakers lost 87-79.

The Lakers started off the game staying close behind the Spartans. The Spartans were only up 40-35 at the end of the first half. The Lakers were shooting better in the second half, but so did the Spartans. They couldn't get the stops they needed and ended up going down 87-79.

The Laker's improvement in shooting percentage wasn't quite enough to surpass the Spartans with a 55.6%. The Lakers had a 51.5%. The Spartans also dominated in three pointers with a 50% while the Lakers only shot 26.9%.

Game leaders for the Lakers were Trayvon Holt with 28 points and six rebounds, and NyQuan McCombs with 16 points and six assists.
