Men's Basketball Comes From Behind To Win Against Red Barons

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. – The Finger Lakes Community College Men's Basketball team won their second Mid-State Athletic Conference (MSAC) game Thursday against the Corning Community College Red Barons. The Lakers made a huge comeback to win 88-83.

The Red Barons held the lead for the majority of the game. They ended the first half up 48-43. It was a struggle after halftime for the Lakers to start gaining a lead. It wasn't until there were a little over four minutes left in the game that they grabbed the lead and held onto it. The Lakers worked hard and outscored the Red Barons 45-35 in the second half giving them their winning score of 88-83.

The Lakers shot very well making a little over half of the shots they made. They ended the game with a shooting percentage of 51.5%. They led in three point percentage as well with a 38.1%.

Game leaders for the Lakers were Keon Dunbar with 33 points, Elijah Idlett with 15 points, and 13 rebounds, and Nyquan McCombs with 13 points, and eight assists.

The Lakers will play next on Saturday, January 20th. They will play Cayuga Community College at 3:00pm.
