Lakers Pull Out Win Against Niagara County

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. – The Finger Lakes Community College Men's Basketball team pulled out a big win against the Niagara County Community College Thunder Wolves this past Tuesday. The Lakers won 88-82.

The Lakers came out full speed outscoring the Thunder Wolves in the first half, 31-25. They were making the shots they needed to and moving the ball around. The second half became tighter. The Thunder Wolves regained some steam and ended up tying points in the second half with the Lakers. It wasn't quite enough and the Lakers took home the win.

The Lakers shot 44% in the field, while Niagara County shot 35.6%. The Lakers also shot 33.3% in three pointers while the Thunder Wolves only shot 26.5%. The Lakers finished the game with a total of 46 rebounds.

Game leaders for the Lakers were Keon Dunbar with 35 points, six assists, Elijah Idlett with 12 rebounds and 14 points, and Shane Fanning with 12 points.

The Lakers play next on Saturday, December 2nd at Hudson Valley Community College. They will start at 3:00pm.
