The Finger Lakes Community College Men's Basketball team traveled to Jefferson Community College on Saturday, February 4 to compete against the Cannoneers in a Mid-State Athletic Conference match-up. The Lakers have had their second encounter with the Cannoneers this season, ending the contest with an 87-78 victory, improving their conference record to 8-1.
After the first half the Lakers led by a single point, scoring 52 points in the second to triumph over Cannoneers. Shabazz Mosley led the Lakers with a double double, adding 27 points and 10 rebounds. Jonathan Range also finished with a double double, adding 24 points and 12 rebounds. Shane Fanning added 12 points, six assists, and six rebounds to defeat the Cannoneers.
The Lakers will host a Mid-State Athletic Conference contest against the Corning Community College Red Barons on Saturday, February 11, tip-off is scheduled for 3:00pm. The Lakers claimed a 78-71 victory over the Red Barons earlier in the season.
