Canandaigua, NY -- The Finger Lakes Community College men's basketball team dropped their home opener against Monroe Community College on Tuesday, November 1. The Lakers fell to the Tribunes in a closely contested battle ending in a score of 86-80.
There were 13 ties and 10 lead changes throughout last nights contest. The Lakers stuck with the Tribunes despite being outplayed in nearly every statistic. Shabazz Mosley led the Lakers scoring with 27 points. He was 9 -20 from the floor and 7-9 at the free throw line. Mosley also contributed six rebounds. Jay Scarbrough finished the night with 22 points, making 7-13 field goals and seven free throws. He also had seven total rebounds. Jonathan Range had 19 points and five reboundsTuesday night. Shane Fanning contributed 10 total rebounds.
The Lakers will travel to Golumbia-Greene Community College on Saturday, November 5 to face the Twins in a Region III showdown. Tipoff is set for 3pm.
