Lakers Suffer a Pair of Losses to The Thunder Wolves

The Finger Lakes Community College baseball team went up against Niagara County Community College on Sunday, April 9. The Lakers suffered a pair of losses to the Thunder Wolves, 0-3 in the first game of the double-header match up, and 1-11 in the second. The Lakers currently stand 7-12 for the season.

In the first game Chris Lovin had the only pair of hits for the Lakers. Michael Donofrio faced 27 batters in all six innings. He allowed five hits, three runs, and one earned run while on the mound.

During the second game of Sunday's double-header, Chris Lovin finished with a pair of hits and added the solo run for the Lakers. Nick Ferrino went 1-for-1, batting a double that earned him an RBI. Stephen Fredendall pitched four innings allowing six hits, six runs, and three earned runs. Paolo Gersonia came out of the bullpen for the final inning allowing six hits, five runs, and five earned runs.

The Lakers will take to the field next on Thursday, April 14 to challenge the Jamestown Community College Jayhawks in a home field double-header.
