The Lakers Finish 2-0 Against the Vikings This Week

The Finger Lakes Community College baseball team competed against the Hudson Valley Community College Vikings on Thursday, March 23. The Lakers defeated the Vikings 10-1, scoring eight of their runs within the first three innings.

Chris Lovin went 2-for-4, scoring four runs, with one run batted in. Chris Karem went 2-for-3 adding two runs and one RBI, and he also turned two double plays. Mike Magnanti went 3-for-4 finishing with two RBI's and a pair of double plays for the Lakers.

Kobie Punchard pitched four innings, allowing three hits and one earned run, and he also turned a double play. Garrett Cunningham pitched two innings, facing nine batters. Cunningham held the Vikings to one hit.

The Lakers will continue their spring break play over the weekend. On Friday, March 24 they will battle the Montgomery College Raptors in a double header.
