CANANDAIGUA -- The Finger Lakes Community College Baseball team fell twice in a doubleheader to Onondaga Community College on Tuesday. The Lakers are now 18-21 on the season.
Onondaga jumped out early on the Lakers with one run in the second inning and five in the third for the early 6-0 lead. The Lakers would get one the board in the fourth. Dalton Murray singled up the middle with two outs. He then scored from first on a Hunter Hey double to the left centerfield gap. The Lazers would answer however with seven runs in the fifth and the would go on to win the game 13-1. Murray and Hey recorded the only two hits for the Lakers.
The Lazers once again took control of the game quickly. They plated four runs in the second inning and six in the fourth. Onondaga would go on to win the game 10-0. Kane Shaw had a pair of hits, including a double for Finger Lakes. Danny D'Eletto also added a double in his final home game.
The Lakes will conclude the 2014 regular season this Thursday when they travel to Corning to take on the Red Barons. First pitch from Tuller Field in South Corning is set for 2pm.
